This past week the first grade Super Duper Book in Super Kids was about bubbles, so on Friday they did an experiment where they mixed their own bubbles & made their own wands!

Luckily we had some reinforcement from district leadership to help with caterpillar control! Thank you to everyone who has contributed to make this possible for our students.

Once again, our district is giving every student at Lake View a "Farm to Table" experience. This morning every student at school had the opportunity to shuck a piece of corn. After a few more steps by our fabulous friends in the cafeteria, students will be able to eat a piece of corn on the cob at lunch tomorrow🌽

Back to School Monday!
Our new 1st grade teacher! We are so excited to bring her expertise and talent to our school! "My name is Tracy McCurdy. I recently moved to the area, and I'm so excited to be a new first grade teacher here at Lake View Elementary! I have been a teacher for 30 years. I believe in creating a fun, welcoming environment where my students feel capable and valued. I love teaching and look forward to a wonderful year."

Meet our new Head Secretary at Lake View, Angie Greene! Angie has worked as a literacy para at both Discovery and Three Mile Creek. She loved both schools and the students there. She is super excited to now be the Secretary at Lake View! It is a full circle for her, as she was a Lake View Leopard. Angie has 5 kids; Braidyn, Skylar, Raegan, Keegan and Gavin. Her hobbies include following her kids around to their sports and activities and cheering loudly, dancing around the stores to embarrass her kids, and hanging out with her husband, Dan. She loves her family, football, chocolate, traveling, live concerts and diet dr. pepper.

Say Hello to our newest Kindergarten teacher! Mrs Dean has done a lot for us but this will be her first year as a full teacher. I've worked at Lakeview for 5 years as a Literacy Para and a Kindergarten Para. I'm very excited to be teaching Kindergarten this year. Lakeview is the best! I love unicorns and sparkles, being outdoors with my family, and visiting Yellowstone. I enjoy running-especially a finish line celebration, reading (and teaching kids to read!) and my favorite thing of all is playing with my 2 grandbabies. Andrea Dean
